What Makes Love Bottle unique?
There is a lot of love that goes into making Love Bottle. There is no reusable water bottle option in glass that is also 100% made in the USA, completely plastic free and dishwasher safe. We also believe in giving back and being socially responsible and conscious as a company. With every bottle sold, we give 5% to clean water initiatives and we are B Corp certified.
How big is a Love Bottle?
Our bottle is 16.9 oz / 500 ml / 1/2 liter. The height of the bottle is 9.126” / 10” with the lid. The diameter is 2.8” and the circumference 8.792”. Currently, we only have one size.
Why is Love Bottle glass?
Glass is a deliberate choice for Love Bottle for all the benefits of using an all natural material. There is no leaching of chemicals from plastic into your water or residual metallic taste from steel or aluminum. Glass is also see-through so you know when to wash it to keep it clean. Love Bottle is made with with about 40% recycled glass so we are using post consumer recycled content to help reduce waste in landfills and our oceans. Glass design experts at Owens-Illinois were involved in manufacturing Love Bottle, creating the perfect mouth feel for an amazing drinking experience!
Is silicone as bad as plastic?
While not a "100% natural" material like rubber, food-grade silicone is a non-toxic polymer mostly made from silica (sand). It can withstand heating and freezing without leaching or off-gassing, hazardous chemicals - unlike plastics, which contaminate food in these environments. It is also odor and stain-resistant, hypoallergenic, and because of its smooth surface, very easy to clean. For these reasons, and because it is soft like rubber and does not break, it is the perfect material for eco-friendly and non-toxic baby products in particular.

What is the easiest way to open my Love Bottle?
My lid has come off, how do I reattach the lid for my Love Bottle properly?
Take the half circle wire with the rounded part pointing up, fit each wire end into small hole on the side of the neck of the bottle. If by chance you get it on upside down you'll know because the closure won't work. See our How to Use your Love Bottle video.
How do I clean my Love Bottle?
Love Bottles are dishwasher safe, including the ceramic lids, silicone and wire frames. There is no need to remove the lids when washing, although you may do so if you find it more convenient. Bottles can be hand washed using regular dish washing liquid and for a more thorough cleaning, bottle brushes can be used. Brushes can be purchased on the SHOP Accessories page.
Will the design on my bottle ever peel off?
Our designs are screen printed using ceramic lead-free inks and are dishwasher safe. They are also scratch resistant and won't rub off with repeated washing.
Can I use hot water or freeze my Love Bottle?
No, we do not recommend putting Love Bottles in a freezer as water and other liquids tend to expand as it freezes. As a result, the glass may crack or get damaged in some way. If you're looking to have an ice cold beverage, keeping your Love Bottles in the refrigerator is a good way to keep your drinks cold!
We also do not recommend using Love Bottles for hot beverages. Love Bottles are not fabricated with tempered glass and can't support the high temperatures of coffee and other hot drinks.
Just a reminder, it is never a good idea to go from extreme hot to cold temperatures or vice versa with glass as it may shock the glass and crack or break.
Where are Love Bottles made?
Our Love Bottle artisans are located in various parts of the US. The glass bottles are made in Pennsylvania and all of our beautiful designs are screen printed in NW Ohio. Our specially handcrafted ceramic swing top lids are baked and painted in the Chicago area, along with our silicone and steel fabricators. Our company headquarters is in Portland, Oregon. Is there an easy way to carry my Love Bottle?
Love Bottles are leakproof and fit easily in purses, car cup holders and backpacks. For those who want to be on the go with their Love Bottle without a bag, we offer a few carriers available for purchase on the SHOP Accessories page. Some people designate a few special bottles for the office or the car, along with their favorites at home. For people who fly, more and more airports are offering water bottle filling stations. Just remember to empty your Love Bottle before going through security!
Can I still buy an Original Love Bottle?
Our first Love Bottles were made overseas. In 2015, we moved entirely to USA manufacturing. We still love our original bottles, but they are no longer available. If you have one that you love and you need a new lid or a silicon seal, they are available for purchase on our SHOP Accessories page.
I have a great idea for a design, can I submit or suggest a design?
This is great! :) Throughout the year, we have design contests through Instagram. We will ask for artwork submissions and provide basic information for designing art for Love Bottle. If you have a great design in mind, keep an eye out for our contest on Instagram @LoveBottleUSA.
Can I get a bottle made with my own design?
