Love Your Body

Oh our bodies! We all have something we would like to change about our bodies. But like it or not, our bodies are our vehicles for this life. Instead of lamenting over what our bodies aren’t doing for us, we should be grateful for all that they do. They allow us to live our lives, and are an integral part of who we are. In every moment an estimated 37 trillion cells are working tirelessly, in mind blowing coordination, to allow you to be you. .

We are bodies of water

The human body is about 60-70% water. Water is crucial to the overall health and functioning of our cells. It is responsible for getting nutrients into our cells and allowing waste to be eliminated from our cells. When our cells aren’t functioning correctly, symptoms and illness arise.

Health Benefits of Water:

  • Increases energy and reduces fatigue
  • Improves skin condition
  • Aids in weight loss
  • Helps to flush toxins
  • Helps prevent headaches and cramping
  • Aids the immune system
  • Improves digestion and kidney function
  • Improves your mood

Are you getting enough water?

Take your weight and divide by 2. That equals the number of ounces of water you need daily while doing non-strenuous activities.

You should increase the amount of water you drink if you:

  • Exercise
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are taking certain medications
  • Are doing a cleanse or a detox
Dangers of Plastic

Did you know that what you are drinking out of can affect your water and your health?

  • Single use soft plastic water bottles are typically made of PET, which continuously leaches Antimony into your water, especially when exposed to heat.
  • Antimony in low doses is linked to dizziness and depression, and in higher doses it is linked to nausea, vomiting and death.

In 2012, the FDA banned BPA (bisphenol A) in children’s bottles and cups due to rising evidence of harmful side effects (1)

  • BPA, used in hard plastics, is a known endocrine disruptor that mimics estrogen in our bodies (1).
    • BPA has been linked to: reproductive issues, impotence, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, asthma, breast cancer, and prostate cancer (2).
  • Many products replaced BPA with other bisphenols, including bisphenol S, F, and B, with claims they are safe to use.
  • However, new studies are showing these BPA-freeplastics may be just as harmful (3).

Benefits of Glass

Love Bottle lets you drink worry free since it is made from glass. Glass is inert and doesn’t leach chemicals into your water. Glass is time tested, and known for being great storage for things we are going to ingest.

Most people also agree that water simply tastes best from glass and tastes the best out of glass. Put a Love Bottle in the fridge, chill, and drink from it on a hot day. Cold water in a chilled bottle? You've never tasted water so good!
